With severe pain, sensitivity or infection, root canal treatment cleans the damaged nerve and allows the tooth to be kept: the cause of the pain is removed, the spread of infection is prevented and chewing function is restored.
Low-abrasive (low RDA) toothpastes help protect polished zirconia and aesthetic restorations. Fluoride helps protect natural teeth from decay. Highly abrasive whitening pastes should be chosen carefully. Correct brushing and regular check-ups are also important.
